Description
"Impure World Rebirth" - alternative title.
The world, ravaged by flame and fire - avarice and hatred, reborn once more into something so much more. Neither perfect, nor whole - but with the potential to grow into something so much more. If only given the chance.
"Let us live as the world should be, to show it what it can be"
Commission for wonderful ~WanderingPariah of his character Shin. I feel quite honoured to have been commissioned by him, again. I love his characters and ideas, often brought to life by other artists (especially famous and very talented who make those pieces breathtaking). I always love the story behind every art of his. I tried my best. This piece was a challenge, quite big one. It didn't took weeks or months to finish, since I'm in the hypo-episode, so I work faster. And I have some days free, so all of my time was spent on this piece.
The background took a long time, some parts were more difficult, some less. The part of fallen tree he's standing on... Argh. I realized it's more difficult to draw completly random things than something whose description you have been given. The character... Another challenge. It's the second time ever I painted clothes(first one was Ezio which was LONG time ago), so that's the reason why it was such a big challenge. I love his design, especially when he shown me references - his clothes are actually based on his LARP outfit, it's quite amazing I have to say, I was stunned when I first saw it. Lately I work hard practising the dramatic shading and then to make fit both character it together, the background and the character, which I always do my best to make those whole (and not to look that background and character do not fit together, like they'd come from other fairytales).
Anwsering your question, this is NOT normal rain, those are like light-drops. I can't really explain.

PPS. I know it isn't perfect. Any of my art is, nor will be perfect, because I am not perfect. I also don't aim for perfection, with my art I try to create 'this moment', 'this... certain THING', emotion.
